(Fatherland) - A large number of people and tourists enthusiastically participated in cheering and experiencing activities at the largest and most unique coastal cultural festival in Da Nang - the Cau Ngu Festival in Thanh Khe District. Since 2016, the Cau Ngu Festival in Da Nang City has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage.

On February 29, the traditional Cau Ngu festival of Thanh Khe district (Da Nang) in 2024 took place at Ha Khe Sea Park with many traditional and unique activities, imbued with the culture and beliefs of the residents of the central coastal region.

The fishing festival is one of the long-standing traditional festivals, a typical cultural product of the coastal community in the Central region, residents in the coastal fishing villages of Da Nang, including fishermen of Thanh Khe fishing village. The festival takes place over 3 days (from February 27-29) including many rituals and festivals; at the main ceremony on the morning of February 29, the chief celebrants, representatives of the local government and people offered incense to the gods to pray for peace and good fishing.

The Cau Ngu Festival in Da Nang city was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2016, associated with the worship of the Nam Hai God in the image of Whale - the guardian sea god of fishermen.

For Thanh Khe district, the traditional Cau Ngu festival is considered the biggest festival of the year for fishermen in coastal areas, a special form of community cultural activity that reflects the identity of folk culture, an occasion to express respect as well as the people's wishes for a year of "calm skies, smooth sailing, and full holds of fish and shrimp".

At the festival, in addition to the ceremony taking place according to traditional rituals, the diverse festival includes many cultural activities, arts, sports , folk games, booths displaying and introducing typical products of the coastal region...
