Bac Ninh tourism deploys a series of solutions to awaken the "heritage land"

Bac Ninh is one of the smallest provinces in the country, but possesses a huge treasure trove of relics and heritage compared to other provinces in the country.

With nearly 1,600 relics of all kinds, including 5 special national relics and 4 world intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, Bac Ninh province has implemented a series of solutions to awaken the "heritage area."

Unique free tours featuring the North Bling

Every Saturday and Sunday from March 8, 2025, buses taking tourists on free tours will be present at the Provincial Museum (Bac Ninh City) to pick up guests. At exactly 8 o'clock, 4 free tours "Bac Ninh Cultural Quintessence - Heritage Colors" will depart, but all 8 tourist buses are fully booked early.

From Bac Ninh Museum, the cars rolling to the music of the song "Bac Bling" have become familiar to all the people, as well as anyone who loves this land.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Van, an officer of the Museum and Tourism Promotion Department of Bac Ninh province, shared that as one of the main tour guides assigned to guide tourists and explain at tourist attractions, she feels like she is living in the colorful but unique cultural space of Bac Ninh.

The proactiveness and sensitivity of provincial and industry leaders in implementing free tours after the explosive effect of the MV Bac Bling has satisfied tourists from near and far.

Initially, tourists came directly to register for tours. However, due to overload, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened an online registration channel for tourists.

Therefore, each tourist can freely choose a suitable tour and just need to arrive 10 minutes before the bus departs to experience the attractive local tourist attractions.

After more than 3 months of implementation, the heat of the tours has not cooled down. Many tourists come every week to be able to go on all the tours and enjoy all the tourist attractions.

Having led many important groups of visitors and having a solid knowledge of the heritage area of ​​Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac, Ms. Van and other tour guides are all "burning" themselves out with tourists.

Ms. Van said that cultural officers like her have never been able to live out their passion and “work” as much as they do now. They are tasked with guiding tourists onto the bus, and organizing entertainment programs on the bus such as: culture, art, leading tourists through stories about the land and people of Bac Ninh…

And at each historical site and tourist attraction, visitors have the opportunity to visit, immerse themselves, learn and experience the land and people here.

Although Ms. Nguyen Thi Sang lives in Bac Ninh city, this is the first time she has come to Phu Lang pottery village (Phu Lang commune, Que Vo town, Bac Ninh province). Learning about the materials used to make pottery and making pottery products herself to bring home to display, she finds it very interesting.

More surprisingly, she heard about the land of Buddha with famous pagodas such as Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, the story of Tu Thuc meeting fairies, national treasures at Phat Tich Pagoda, Tien Du District... Through this trip, she became more proud, loved her homeland, her country, and cherished her current life.

Experiencing the tour of Bac Ninh Museum - Do Temple - Dong Ho folk painting village - Life Garden eco-zone - Dau pagoda - To pagoda - But Thap pagoda - Bac Ninh Museum, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham (from Hanoi) confided that the free tours are arranged by Bac Ninh province to suit the arrival time and experience of visitors.

Although she went to many places, she felt very comfortable because she got to experience making Dong Ho folk paintings, and was relaxed when coming to the pure space of the Buddha realm as well as experiencing the ecological area.

In particular, the tour guide team is enthusiastic, attentive and friendly. If she has time, she wishes to experience all the tours in Bac Ninh.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thao Nhi (from Nghe An province), since the MV Bac Bling by singer Hoa Minzy was released, she often watches it on the internet. She is especially impressed by the beautiful scenery of Bac Ninh.

Therefore, she and her group of friends decided to experience all the locations that appeared in the MV. She was very surprised when she came to Bac Ninh and got to experience free travel, checking in at all the destinations in the MV. In addition to the beautiful scenery, she was also warmly welcomed by the people of Bac Ninh.

Especially when arriving at Viem Xa area (Bac Ninh city), she also experienced Quan Ho culture, Lien Anh and Lien Chi with their traditional costumes, Non Quai Thao singing smooth and soulful melodies that seemed to hold tourists' feet. She hopes that this tour will be organized to last longer. Surely, Bac Ninh tourism will shine on the national tourism map.

Diversify and renew Bac Ninh tourism

Director of Bac Ninh Museum and Tourism Promotion Nguyen Huu Mao said that after nearly 3 months of implementation, the free tour "Bac Ninh Cultural Quintessence - Heritage Colors" has attracted thousands of visitors from inside and outside the province.

Security, order, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting, and reception of tourists at destinations on the itinerary are ensured, meeting the needs and expectations and leaving a good impression on the people and tourists.

From the positive effects of these tours, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province has surveyed and put into operation new tourist attractions in free tours. Accordingly, from May 24, 2025, the Department has adjusted and added 8 new tourist attractions to better meet the diverse needs of tourists.

As planned, starting from Saturday and Sunday (from May 24 to 25, 2025), on 4 free tours "Bac Ninh Cultural Quintessence - Heritage Colors," visitors will have new destinations to visit.

Specifically, tour 1: Add Tieu Son Pagoda (Tu Son city); To Pagoda (Thuan Thanh town). The specific schedule of tour 1 is as follows: Bac Ninh Museum - Tieu Son Pagoda - Do Temple - Dong Ho Folk Painting Village - Vuon Cuoc Song Ecological Area (tourists pay for their own lunch; experience activities) - Dau Pagoda - To Pagoda - But Thap Pagoda - Bac Ninh Museum.

Tour 2, adding Linh Ung Pagoda; Si Nhiep Temple and Tomb (Thuan Thanh Town). The specific schedule of tour 2 includes: Bac Ninh Museum - Dien Quang Pagoda - Tam Phu Temple - Phu Lang Pottery Village (tourists pay for their own lunch; experience activities) - Linh Ung Pagoda - Si Nhiep Temple and Tomb - Phat Tich Pagoda - Bac Ninh Museum.

Tour 3, adding Bach Mon Pagoda (Tien Du district).
