Specifically, in July, international visitors to Vietnam reached 1.56 million, up nearly 7% compared to June and up nearly 36% compared to the same period last year.
In the first 7 months, Vietnam welcomed more than 12.2 million international visitors, an increase of 22.5% over the same period last year and an increase of 25% compared to 2019 - the golden year of Vietnamese tourism .

According to the National Tourism Administration, although it is the low season for international tourism, the number of arrivals in July has begun to increase compared to June (+6.8%), in which the European markets in particular increased by 38%. This is a very positive signal showing the effectiveness of the open visa policy and a series of promotional activities of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the past time in 6 European countries (France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany).
The number of arrivals by air in July still reached the highest level, with more than 1.32 million arrivals, followed by road with more than 234,000 arrivals and waterway with more than 2.5 thousand arrivals.
Mainland China remained the largest market sending visitors to Vietnam in July with over 391,000 arrivals, followed by South Korea with over 317,000 arrivals. The next largest markets sending visitors were still "familiar faces" like previous months including Japan, Taiwan, India, Russia, Australia, and the US.
In terms of growth drivers, Russia is the market with the highest growth, with the number of arrivals in July this year equal to 300% compared to the same period in 2024.
