Taking patients by helicopter from Tien Nu Island to Military Hospital 175 for treatment

Early morning on June 26, a patient was taken by helicopter from the 18th Army Corps from Tien Nu Island to Military Hospital 175 for treatment.

At around 10:30 a.m. on June 25, Tien Nu Island Infirmary, Truong Sa archipelago received patient Tran Tai, born in 1973, fisherman of fishing boat QNg 90829/TS, suffering from peritonitis, peptic ulcer, cirrhosis, heart valve regurgitation, pancreatic cyst, kidney cyst with intestinal obstruction; the condition exceeded the island's treatment capacity.

Helicopter of Army Corps 18 took the patient to Military Hospital 175 for treatment.

Based on the proposal of the Military Medical Department, General Department of Logistics and Engineering (Telegram No. 155/TgK dated June 25, 2025), the Department of Rescue and Relief coordinated with relevant agencies and units to verify information about the patient's condition and requested the Ministry's Command to report to the Head of the Ministry of National Defense for permission to use the helicopter of the 18th Army Corps to transport the patient to the 175 Military Hospital for emergency treatment.

The Head of the Ministry of National Defense has given the directive. At 4:50 p.m. on June 25, the 18th Army Corps used EC225 helicopter number VN 8620 to take off from Vung Tau to rescue the patient (route Vung Tau - Tan Son Nhat - Truong Sa Lon Island - Tien Nu Island - Truong Sa Island - Military Hospital 175 - Vung Tau).

Early morning of June 26, the unit transferred the patient to Military Hospital 175 for treatment.
