(TN&MT) - Under the National Science and Technology Program, the project "Research on developingeducational science to meet the needs of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of Vietnam's education" by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Huy Hoang has helped popularize, revise, perfect and apply the STEM education model in general education in Vietnam.
In the spirit of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW in the 13th tenure on "Fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a market economy , socialist orientation and integration" of the Central Executive Committee, it has been pointed out that education and training is the top national policy, the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people.
Currently, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam is in the process of industrialization, modernization and international integration, opening up many opportunities to improve industrial level, so developing STEM education for Vietnam is urgent.

The STEM model (science, mathematics, engineering, technology) helps learners learn about science through exploring and discovering basic knowledge, while creating opportunities for them to solve practical and applied problems. Research by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Huy Hoang shows the role of the STEM education model as an important and effective solution in fundamentally and comprehensively innovating Vietnam's education system, demonstrated through new and clearly oriented general education programs.
At the general education program level, STEM education means both training human resources, developing learners' capacity and qualities; the role of general education is suitable for information technology transmitted to students; there are STEM topics in the integrated subject program at the basic education stage such as natural science (in primary school), natural science (in secondary school); teaching topics on STEM education in grades 11 and 12 through local programs and school education plans are implemented.

It can be seen that the research topic has contributed to the development of policies, laws, and orientation for STEM education in general schools in Vietnam and has had an impact on changing social awareness and strongly impacted the industry and scientific fields through published works both domestically and internationally, developing further research in the future.
