Duy Manh and Tuan Hai inspire young players at the 2025 National U9 Football Tournament

The first National U9 Football Tournament was held in 2021, with the participation of 16 teams from 16 provinces and cities nationwide. After 4 years of organization, the tournament has received attention and love from leaders of the Party and State at all levels; departments, branches, sectors, fans and especially young players across the country.

Speaking at the press conference, Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper Nguyen Phan Khue affirmed that the Organizing Committee has made scientific calculations to ensure that the competition process of the 30 teams takes place most smoothly. The U9 age group is a prerequisite age to find young talents, the first source of athletes in the development of youth training in the country's football. "In addition to professional factors, we emphasize ensuring the safety of the children throughout the competition; making efforts to create a playground that helps them immerse themselves in it as a festival of their own," journalist Nguyen Phan Khue added.

Also within the framework of the ceremony, the organizers, sponsors and players performed the trophy-raising ceremony, presented jerseys, signed autographs and interacted with the young players. Two players Do Duy Manh and Pham Tuan Hai inspired the passion for football for the U9 players participating in the tournament.

“This is a useful playground for children every summer, helping them practice and develop. Try your best to achieve good results because who knows, one day not far away, you will take on great responsibilities to help Vietnamese football develop further,” Duy Manh expressed.

The Toyota Cup 2025 National U9 Football Tournament will take place in Tay Ninh from August 9 to August 26, with the participation of 30 teams, including: Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Hanoi Club, Hanoi Police, PVF - CAND, HYS Hanoi, Hai Phong, Luxury HL Quang Ninh, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, Song Lam Nghe An, Phu Dong, T&T VSH, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, SHB Da Nang, Thuan An Binh Duong, Khuyen Nong Binh Phuoc, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ban Me Ngoc Hung, Van Tam Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Long An, Binh Duong Football Federation. This is also a special gift, marking 30 years of Toyota (the main sponsor of the tournament) being attached and developing in Vietnam.
