EVNGENCO3 inspects dry season power production at Buon Kuop Hydropower Company

(Dan Tri) - On May 13, a working group of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3) inspected the electricity production situation, repair and maintenance of generators and work to ensure water supply for the downstream during drought at Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant - Buon Kuop Hydropower Company.

The EVNGENCO3 delegation included Mr. Le Van Danh - General Director of the Corporation - as head of the delegation, along with Deputy General Directors, Union leaders and representatives of the Corporation's departments.

Reporting to the working delegation, the leader of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company said that the company's cumulative electricity output in the first four months of the year was 590 million kWh, reaching 22.4% of the yearly plan. The estimated output for the whole year is about 2.63 billion kWh, reaching 100% of the assigned output plan.

From May 12, Unit H1 - Buôn Tua Srah was deployed for repair and maintenance, expected to be completed on May 21. Unit H2 is expected to undergo repair and maintenance from May 23 to June 6. The repair and maintenance work was carried out as planned, helping to improve the availability factor and reliable operation in the coming time, especially during the peak months of the dry season in 2025.

Through the actual inspection at Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant, Mr. Le Van Danh highly appreciated the efforts and results that Buon Kuop Hydropower Company and Buon Tua Srah Operation Workshop have achieved. At the same time, he requested the company to continue to maintain and improve the effectiveness of solutions to ensure safe and stable electricity production during the dry season, focusing on the task of supplying water to the downstream area, closely coordinating with the authorities and people to proactively plan to get water for daily life and cultivation.

In addition, the corporation's leaders also informed about the implementation of the plan to arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus, the plan to implement power source projects in Dak Lak province and directed Buon Kuop Hydropower Company to complete the Project to establish a centralized control center for the plants to submit to the corporation for approval, as a basis for implementation with the goal of putting the centralized control center into operation by the end of 2026.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and encouraged more than 40 officers, employees and workers who are directly performing operation, repair and maintenance work at Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant.

The Corporation's Trade Union also presented meaningful gifts to encourage workers' spirit during the peak of electricity production in the dry season and in response to Workers' Month 2025.
