Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 takes the theme 'Heritage - Connection - Era'

The opening ceremony of the Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 will take place on November 7 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, affirming the capital's position as a UNESCO Creative City, where thousand-year-old roots are illuminated by technology and strategic vision.

Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 is organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports under the direction of Hanoi City. The program is expected to become a turning point, where heritage awakens, blends into the contemporary flow, creating new economic and cultural values ​​for Hanoi.

To create a comprehensive and vivid picture of heritage, the Opening Ceremony Organizing Committee mobilized nearly 1,000 professional actors from leading units such as Thang Long Puppetry Theatre, Hanoi Cheo Theatre, along with the participation of artisans from wards and communes.

Artisans play a central role, presenting the original identity of heritage and artistic elements.

The program will also recreate some traditional festivals and legends such as: Dragon dance, sitting tug of war, wrestling...

The Festival affirms the spirit of "The Era" through the application of cutting-edge technology, turning heritage into new inspiration.

To create a visual and audio experience in the 360-degree stage of the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee will use a modern equipment system and 3D Mapping projection technology; Automatic programming system, Timecost system to synchronize the performances, creating accuracy in staging.

In particular, the application of Surround sound technology promises to bring a unique and vivid experience to the audience.

Thang Long-Hanoi Festival is oriented to be an annual, large-scale activity, with the strategic goal of not only being a cultural event but also creating unique products of the cultural industry after its conclusion.

To ensure the spirit of "The Festival does not end - but opens a new creative cycle", the Organizing Committee is building programs and performances that are all aimed at plays that will take place regularly. This is to create diverse spaces and experiences for visitors to Hanoi.
