DNVN - At the 2024 Listed Company Awards Ceremony recently held by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE),FPT was honored in two categories: Top 20 Best Annual Reports in Non-Financial Sectors and Top 10 Best Corporate Governance Enterprises.
After nearly 6 months of voting, surpassing more than 500 listed enterprises on both exchanges, the Voting Council selected 44 excellent enterprises in 3 categories of Annual Report, Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Report to officially honor.
The vote not only honors listed enterprises with outstanding efforts in reporting and disclosing information, implementing regulations and good practices on governance, good practices on environment - society - governance (ESG) at enterprises, but also serves as a foundation to promote enterprises towards advanced governance standards, information transparency and sustainable development.
2024 is the second year that VLCA only evaluates and scores the Annual Reports of enterprises registering to participate in the Annual Report Award category. Accordingly, 96 listed enterprises registered and met the requirements to participate. FPT was in the Top 20 best annual reports in the non-financial sector.
According to the VLCA Organizing Committee, the annual reports of non-financial enterprises stand out with sustainable development initiatives such as energy saving, resource management and material reuse. This clearly reflects the business characteristics and long-term development goals of each industry group.
In 2024, for the first time, FPT separated the ESG Report and announced the ESG orientation with clear action programs and goals. FPT has made a commitment to be a pioneer in Vietnam in activities to reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions to reach Net Zero by 2040 and have a positive impact on the living, working and learning environment of more than 1 million employees by 2035. At the same time, FPT also affirmed that ESG is an important factor that creates more strength to promote core values to continue to carry out the mission of a global corporation of longevity and happiness.
With the theme "New heights, reaching out to lead the way", FPT Annual Report 2023 was published in March 2024, conveying a clear message: FPT is constantly striving, conquering the peak, turning opportunities into results.
According to the VLCA Organizing Committee, a total of 107 enterprises with the best corporate governance were selected for the final round, classified by capitalization group. Among the 37 enterprises in the large capitalization group, FPT was selected by the Council to be included in the list of Top 10 Enterprises with the best corporate governance in the large capitalization group.
Over the years, FPT has always complied with all important legal regulations related to corporate governance in general as well as governance regulations for listed companies. At the same time, to enhance compliance with legal regulations on corporate governance, the Group has also made efforts to improve governance quality according to international standards, through the application and increasingly adhering to the criteria in the OECD International Governance Principles, the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard and the Vietnam Corporate Governance Principles according to best practices jointly drafted by the State Securities Commission and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
In the past 3 years, FPT's return on equity (ROE) has always been above 25%. The Group's capitalization value reached 8.4 billion USD (as of October 10, 2024). In 2024, FPT plans to achieve revenue of 61,850 billion VND and pre-tax profit of 10,875 billion VND, an increase of about 18% over the same period.
