Thanks from the Organizing Committee of the Forum 'Green Energy - Clean City'

The 'Green Energy - Clean City' Forum held on November 7 in Hanoi was a great success.

Choosing the path of green development and clean energy transition is an inevitable trend and a common responsibility of every country. Vietnam has soon demonstrated this determination through the Law on Environmental Protection 2020, the National Strategy on Climate Change towards net zero emissions by 2050, and a series of action plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In that context, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment assigned the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, the Department of Environment and the Department of Climate Change to coordinate in organizing the Forum "Green Energy - Clean City".

The forum gathered a large number of representatives from state management agencies, experts, scientists , businesses and international organizations to attend and discuss solutions for green energy development and sustainable urban construction.

At the Forum, delegates focused on discussing many practical contents such as: Developing a clean energy ecosystem, encouraging the use of standard fuels; promoting green technology in transportation, construction, urban management; as well as proposing mechanisms and policies to support energy transition and implementing the Net Zero 2050 commitment.

The in-depth exchanges and orientations at the Forum contributed to clarifying the role of green energy in ensuring national energy security, improving the quality of living environment, and opening up sustainable development directions for large cities such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong and many other localities.

The “Green Energy – Clean City” Forum has ended successfully, leaving many positive impressions on the spirit of companionship, sharing and social responsibility. The participation and companionship of the units is a great source of encouragement, affirming the practical significance of the Forum in the journey of building a green economy, clean cities and a sustainable society.
