FTU launches the 2024 Social Business Innovation Competition

DNVN - Foreign Trade University (FTU) has just announced the Social Business Innovation Competition (SBC) in 2024 and sent staff and lecturers to participate in the SBC source lecturer training course.

Social Business Creation (SBC) is a global program on social business innovation initiated, organized and professionally sponsored by HEC Montréal University, Canada and Nobel Peace Prize 2006 winner Professor Muhammad Yunus, aiming to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGGx) of the United Nations.

Since 2018, Foreign Trade University has officially joined the SBC co-organizing network worldwide and become the SBC management unit in Vietnam.

In addition to innovative learning methods and rich experiences with global participants, SBC also offers participants the opportunity to win many cash prizes, scholarships, training courses, business tours, live project pitching with global teams held in Canada and win post-competition incubation funding from EntrePrism.

Since 2018, Foreign Trade University has become a strategic partner of HEC Montréal University, Canada and is the management unit of SBC Hub in Vietnam.

In addition to the competition, HEC organizes a training course for trainers on social entrepreneurship (TOT SBC) to train SBC experts and startup advisors to accompany, train, and advise projects participating in the competition and develop teaching and research materials on SBC...

Following the success of the 2022 and 2023 competitions, FTU announces the 2024 social business innovation program to staff, lecturers, students of high schools, colleges, universities, businesses, social impact business projects and experts nationwide to register to participate in SBC 2024. Registration period is from February to October 2024.

Registration time for TOT SBC source trainer training course is from March to September 2024.

The award structure of the Social Business Innovation Competition includes awards for teams, awards for individuals and awards for educational institutions.

For the competing teams, there will be a First Prize for the best project worth 30,500 CAD (including 20,000 CAD in cash, 1 scholarship to MOSSAIC clown school worth 8,500 CAD and 1 scholarship to attend the SBC leadership training course worth 2,000 CAD).

The Second Prize is worth CAD 15.50, including CAD 5,000 cash, 1 MOSAIC summer school scholarship of CAD 8,500 and 1 SBC leadership training scholarship of CAD 2,000.

The Thi Prize is worth 7,000 CAD, including 5,000 CAD in cash, 1 scholarship to attend the SBC leadership training course worth 2,000 CAD.

1 Audience Choice award worth CAD 10,500.
