To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh , the Lao Dong Newspaper organized the art Gala program "The Country Rising Up"

This is a large-scale art Gala night, an occasion to honor the authors who won the award in the "Country Full of Joy" theme song writing campaign, and the artists who won the 30th Mai Vang Award. The Gala night is part of the 3rd "Honoring Vietnamese Coffee and Tea" Festival - 2025, taking place at 7:15 p.m. on May 17 at GigaMall Trade Center (240-242 Pham Van Dong, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).

The organizers have prepared the program for more than 2 months, the Art Gala night has the participation of many famous artists of many generations, promising to create a rich artistic picture. Especially introducing new compositions of the song composition campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper. Honoring and interacting with musicians who won high awards at the campaign such as: Nguyen Van Chung, Tran Xuan Mai Tram, Huynh Huu Duc, Le Ba Thuong, Nguyen Duy Khoi, Pham Hoang Long, Huynh Loi, Ngo Duy Thanh...

The singers and bands practiced to introduce to the public the winning songs including: "Proud to be a Vietnamese" - the most favorite song award of musician Le Ba Thuong) through the singing of singer Huynh Loi; Dong Quan, Chau Nhat Tin, Huy Truong and the Hung Dong group performed the song "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of sharing a joy"; Duyen Quynh performed the song "Following the sacred will" - the second prize of musician Nguyen Van Chung; Leo Minh Tuan, Yen Phuong, Thu Thao, Minh Tram, the 2N group and the Blue Sky dance group performed a medley of 3 consolation prize songs by musicians: Pham Hoang Long, Ngo Duy Thanh, Huynh Loi; Quach Thai Duy performed the song "Anh sao trong mat me" by musician Tran Xuan Tien; the "ERA Wave" group performed the song "Thanh pho nhung nu cuoi" by musician Huynh Huu Duc - the third prize; TDB group performs the song "From Ho Chi Minh City looking back at history" composed by Hoang Trung Anh...

In particular, musician Tran Xuan Mai Tram will perform the song "Singing about the city I love" which she composed herself and won second prize. Singer Dong Quan and the Hung Dong group will sing the song "Nu Cuoi Thanh Pho" by musician Pham Minh Tuan. "I have heard this song with a new arrangement, a cheerful and exciting rhythm performed by Dong Quan and the Hung Dong group. I look forward to this meaningful Gala program because this is a great opportunity to promote the songs of the campaign that the Lao Dong Newspaper has successfully organized" - said musician Pham Minh Tuan.

Knowing that the program had been carefully rehearsed over the past time, musician Tran Xuan Tien expressed his emotion and pride at being able to accompany such a meaningful program. He shared: "I feel honored that the song "Anh sao trong mat me" was chosen to perform and contributed to expressing my feelings about the hearts of Vietnamese mothers during the war. This is an emotion I will carry with me all my life."

The happy thing for the organizers is that the Gala night will be the night to honor two musicians who have made great contributions to the country's music industry with the award: "Lifetime Musician for Vietnamese Music" dedicated to musicians Pham Minh Tuan and Tran Xuan Tien.

As the performer of the song "Proud to be Vietnamese", singer Huynh Loi shared: "I am very excited because this is a playground for those who love songs about the innovation and development of Ho Chi Minh City".

Sublimate with the audience

The Gala night stage was designed by director Thanh Hiep to be youthful and full of emotions, promising to be sublimated with the audience when welcoming artists who have won the Mai Vang Award and young talents full of vitality such as: Trang Phap, Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam, Meritorious Artist Tu Suong, May Trang group, and the talented team associated with the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai": Rapper Tien Dat, Dang Khoi, HuyR.

In addition, there is also the Rap - Hip Hop group TDB (including: Van Hau, La Tran Duc Thien, Hoang Trung Anh, Huy Truong, Chau Nhat Tin), singer Tieu Minh Phung - an artist who combines folk songs and rap in a unique way, or emotional voices such as: Quang Dai, Yen Phuong, Minh Tram, Thu Thao with the song "Noi vong tay lon" by the late musician Trinh Cong Son. The performance will be more special with the vivid illustrations from the Blue Sky dance group, a dance team associated with many major programs.

The highlight was the appearance of Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam and Meritorious Artist Tu Suong in the performance of the traditional folk song "Diem Hen Mai Vang" (composed by Master Thanh Hiep), bringing a space of Cai Luong full of pride and gratitude.

The "Rising Country" art gala not only honors outstanding works, but also spreads community values through the activity of presenting the "Collection of 50 songs" (printed and published by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper) to university libraries such as: Ho Chi Minh City Social Sciences and Humanities, Law, Theater and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, College of Culture and Arts...

The program ended with a new arrangement of the song "Continuing the story of peace ", crystallizing the spirit of solidarity, the desire to build and the belief in a bright future for the country through the performance of the female singing group "Trai tim trang", the TDB group and the appearance of musician Nguyen Van Chung.

The Gala "The Rising Country" will be a place where melodies speak for the heart, to be proud, to be grateful and to move forward together on the journey of cultivating peace, development and prosperity for the country.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung - author of the song "Following the sacred will" emotionally expressed: "I wrote this song from my heart after reading Uncle Ho's will. This is not just a composition, but a promise of an artist to the history of the nation. And on the Gala night, singer Duyen Quynh will perform this song, I look forward to this meaningful Gala night".

Singer Viet Thu will sing the famous song by musician Huy Thuc "Uncle is marching with us" - as a meaningful gift to beloved Uncle Ho at the Gala night celebrating his 135th birthday organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.
