Nearly 133.8 billion VND to develop dairy farming in key communes

The Project on Developing Dairy Cattle Farming in Lam Dong Province for the period 2026 - 2030 has just been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for implementation with a total budget of nearly 133.8 billion VND. Of which, 8.5% is from the state budget and 91.5% is from organizations and individuals.

The target by 2030 is that the livestock production value in the province's agricultural sector will reach 14-15%. Specifically, dairy farming will be developed in key communes in Lam Dong province, including Don Duong, D'Ran, Ka Do, Quang Lap, Hiep Thanh, Duc Trong, Tan Hoi, Cat Tien, Cat Tien 2, Cat Tien 3, and expanded to communes with great potential and advantages such as Da Teh, Dinh Van Lam Ha, Quang Son.

In general, in the period of 2026 - 2030, the whole province maintains an average growth rate of 5.5% in the dairy herd among the people and 10.6% in enterprises and farms, increasing the total dairy herd to about 41,170 cows, fresh milk output to about 161,758 tons/year, the quality of raw fresh milk meets safety standards. Thereby, the whole Lam Dong province ensures that over 95% of the fresh milk produced is contracted for consumption according to the value chain linkage.
