Nearly 188,000 files eligible for automatic personal income tax refund

On May 6, the Ministry of Finance announced that on April 4, 2025, the Tax sector has implemented automatic personal income tax refunds based on available data of tax authorities.

As of April 24, 2025, 452,003 people submitted final tax declarations with tax refund requests; of which 187,798 files were eligible for automatic tax refunds, accounting for 41.5%, with a total amount of VND 884.2 billion.

The tax authority has created a tax refund order and sent it electronically to the State Treasury to pay a total tax refund of VND 645.5 billion.

In order for personal income tax refund dossiers to be processed automatically, conveniently and accurately, the Tax sector encourages people to use the function "Suggested personal income tax finalization declaration" and link and register bank account numbers (name and verified) on electronic tax applications (eTax Mobile; iCanhan) to submit personal income tax refund dossiers.
