On the afternoon of September 11, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting with ministries, branches and agencies on the work of summarizing, rewarding and closing the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is open free of charge to the public and visitors from August 28.
According to the report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 13 days, from August 28 to September 9, the number of visitors to the exhibition is estimated at 6,680,000, of which during peak times, there were days when the number reached more than 1 million visitors.
During the exhibition, many international delegations visited, such as the Lao high-ranking delegation (led by General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith); the Cambodian high-ranking delegation (led by President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen); military delegations from Russia, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba; and embassies of various countries...
In order to meet the needs of the majority of people, the Prime Minister has decided to extend the exhibition until September 15 (instead of closing on September 5 as originally planned).
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested that preparations for the closing ceremony must be carried out carefully, safely, solemnly, economically but must ensure the national stature. The closing ceremony of the exhibition must leave a deep impression, contributing to the complete success of the National Achievement Exhibition, strengthening the firm belief to bring the country into a new era, an era of wealth, prosperity and happiness.
