Open spaces – a converging atmosphere, elevating the experience.
From early morning on October 26th, the grounds of the Vietnam Exhibition and Convention Center (VEC) in Dong Anh ( Hanoi ) were bustling with music, colors, and crowds flocking to the Autumn Fair 2025 – the most anticipated trade and cultural event of the year-end season. Unlike traditional fairs, this event, organized under the direct guidance of the Prime Minister, boasts national and international significance, truly transforming VEC into a super festival of experiences and commerce.

On the very first morning, the organizers recorded a surge in visitors, with tens of thousands coming to visit, shop, and experience the event. The crowds at the booths clearly demonstrated the strong appeal and the resurgence of year-end shopping. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam (Cau Giay, Hanoi), who arrived at the fair early in the morning, shared: "The atmosphere at the Autumn Fair is truly vibrant, with a wide variety of goods – from regional specialties and handicrafts to green technology products. It feels like walking through a vivid picture of Vietnam's economy . I am impressed with the professional organization and the large scale of the event."

The 2025 Autumn Fair brought together over a thousand businesses from 34 provinces and cities, showcasing tens of thousands of products. Booths from localities such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Binh , Dong Thap, and Binh Duong were always bustling with visitors. Many regional specialties – from Me Tri sticky rice cakes and Nguyen Ninh sticky rice cakes to fruits and handicrafts – became the focal point attracting Hanoi residents and international tourists. Notably, according to the organizers, this year's fair set several "firsts," including the largest scale, the most modern space, and the most diverse product range, taking place in an area of over 130,000 square meters.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Autumn Fair, booths at the fair need to focus on interacting with consumers and creating experiences. Businesses have responded positively, with themed booth areas incorporating interactive display technology, allowing customers to experience products intelligently and shop online on the spot via QR codes. In addition, a series of art performances, creative workshops, beverage demonstrations, and culinary competitions have created strong appeal, especially among young people. The event, lasting until October 30th, promises to become an attractive "check-in" destination and a clear testament to the vitality of domestic trade amidst a strong consumer recovery at the end of 2025.
More than just a place to display goods, this year's fair is also considered a "festival of experiences," combining commerce, culture, cuisine, and performing arts. The "Essence of the Capital in Autumn" area recreates the atmosphere of the old town, street vendors, and the flavors of traditional Hanoi cuisine, delighting many visitors who enjoy taking photos and sampling traditional dishes. Ms. Cao Thi Thuong (Yen Bai, Hanoi) expressed her excitement: "I visited many booths from provinces like Ha Tinh, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak... Among them, I liked the Ha Tinh booth the most with its performance of folk songs and traditional music; it felt like I was traveling around the country right here in Hanoi."
The widespread appeal – confidence in Vietnamese products and the aspiration to reach new heights.
Sharing his thoughts with reporters about the fair, Mr. Tran Huu Linh – Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) emphasized that the Autumn Fair is not only a commercial activity, but also a stage to honor Vietnamese goods, evoke pride and confidence in domestic consumers. The event opens opportunities for businesses to promote their products, connect with markets, and affirm Vietnamese brands in the global supply chain. More importantly, it is a place to inspire creativity, spread pride, and promote the spirit of a proactive state, pioneering businesses, and public-private partnership.

From the business perspective, a representative of a cooperative producing clean agricultural products in Bac Giang province expressed: "The scale and attention from the Government have given us more confidence in the domestic market. Participating in such a large event is a golden opportunity for our OCOP products to directly reach thousands of customers every day. The fair has created great motivation for us to continue investing in technology, green transformation, and improving product quality, aiming for sustainable export."
The event attracted not only Vietnamese businesses but also international delegations. Notably, India participated with a delegation of fifteen businesses, demonstrating the high level of international integration of the fair. This further reinforces the experts' assessment that Vietnam is gradually realizing its goal of becoming a leading exhibition center in Asia, not only promoting domestic trade but also serving as an important bridge in global trade.

Amidst the bustling crowds, it's easy to spot families, groups of friends, and foreign tourists excitedly exploring each booth – from technology and clean agricultural products to handicrafts and innovative products. Many visitors shared that the Autumn Fair 2025 is not just a shopping destination but also a vibrant space for "experiencing contemporary Vietnamese culture," a perfect symphony of economics, culture, and festivities. With an expected arrival of around five hundred thousand visitors per day, the Autumn Fair 2025 is affirming its role as a national trade promotion mega-event, spreading Vietnam's inherent capabilities and strong spirit of innovation in the new era.
