Grab Vietnam has just signed a cooperation agreement with Charge+, a leading electric vehicle charging solution provider in Southeast Asia, with the goal of jointly developing a network of charging and battery swapping stations in Vietnam.

Through this collaboration, the two parties will provide flexible charging solutions for cars, electric motorcycles, and electric scooters, making it easier for Grab driver partners in particular and electric vehicle users in general to access reliable charging services. This agreement once again affirms Grab Vietnam and Charge+'s long-term commitment to actively contribute to promoting green transportation and supporting the NetZero roadmap in Vietnam.

Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, CEO of Grab Vietnam, shared: "With Charge+'s experience in developing charging station networks in many Southeast Asian markets and Grab's advantages in technology, user understanding, and local market needs, we believe that this collaboration will contribute to solving the charging station problem in Vietnam."

Mr. Goh Chee Kiong, CEO of Charge+, stated: "Charge+ is committed to deploying a charging network across Vietnam, aiming for 5,000 charging points by 2030, for both Grab driver partners and the electric vehicle community in general. Technical and technological cooperation to develop a network of charging stations.

In addition to special preferential charging cost policies exclusively for Grab driver partners, Grab Vietnam and Charge+ will focus on extensive cooperation in technology and engineering to develop a network of Charge+ charging stations to better serve electric vehicle users in Vietnam. Accordingly:

Grab will facilitate the development of technical infrastructure and API integration to connect and display information about Charge+'s charging station and battery swapping station network on the Grab platform, enhancing transaction processing capabilities and providing real-time data to support Grab driver partners in using electric vehicles.

Grab and Charge+ are collaborating to develop a network of charging and battery swapping stations. Leveraging Grab's data capabilities, operational network, and market demand, the two parties will study the optimal placement of charging points, making the service easily accessible to electric vehicle users.

Mr. Ho Vinh Thanh, a Grab driver partner, shared: Due to the nature of our profession, the charging station needs of ride-hailing drivers may differ from those of personal electric vehicle users. We need a sufficiently wide and dense network of charging stations that are accessible at any time, and the charging time must be fast so that we can maximize our driving time and ensure our daily income.
