World and domestic coffee prices fall sharply
On the morning of November 7, the global and domestic coffee markets simultaneously recorded a sharp decline. On the London floor, Robusta prices lost 156 USD/ton, while purchasing prices in the Central Highlands provinces also decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently fluctuating around 116,200 - 117,300 VND/kg.
The main reason comes from the pressure of abundant supply from Vietnam and positive weather signals in Brazil, reducing concerns about shortages in the global market.

Price movements on international exchanges
At the end of the trading session on November 6, coffee prices on both major exchanges recorded a significant decrease:
- On the London Stock Exchange: Robusta coffee futures for November 2025 delivery fell $156/ton, or 3.31%, to $4,544/ton. The January 2026 contract also fell to $4,530/ton.
- On the New York floor: Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 delivery fell 16.85 US cents/pound, or 4.06%, to close at 396.75 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract fell 15.35 US cents/pound to 379.05 US cents/pound.
The main cause of pressure on prices
Pressure from Vietnamese supply
According to Reuters, the market is reacting strongly to the news that Vietnam's coffee exports in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 1.31 million tons, up 13.4% over the same period last year. At the same time, forecasts for the 2025-2026 crop year are also very positive. A report from Artis Trading and the Coffee Trading Academy (CTA) shows that output is expected to increase by 9.3%. The USDA also estimates that Vietnam's coffee output could reach around 31 million bags, 2 million bags higher than the previous crop year.
Positive signals from Brazil
Arabica prices came under pressure after forecasts of more rain in Brazil’s key coffee growing regions next week helped ease drought concerns. Traders were also shipping about 150,000 bags of Arabica from Brazil to ICE warehouses in Europe, adding to supplies and cooling prices.
Domestic coffee market
In line with the global trend, coffee prices in key domestic regions on the morning of November 7th decreased by 700 - 1,000 VND/kg. Below are the purchasing prices in some localities:
| Province/City | Area | Price (VND/kg) |
|---|---|---|
| Lam Dong | Di Linh, Lam Ha, Bao Loc | 116,200 |
| Dak Lak | Cu M'gar, Ea H'leo, Buon Ho | 117,000 |
| Dak Nong | Gia Nghia, Dak R'lap | 117,200 - 117,300 |
| Gia Lai | Chu Prong, Pleiku, La Grai | 116,200 - 116,300 |
| Kon Tum | Kon Tum | 116,300 |
In the Central Highlands, storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) is causing heavy rains, affecting the harvest progress but there have been no reports of significant damage. Contrary to the general downward trend, coffee in Son La recorded a record price thanks to good quality, reaching 30,000 VND/kg of fresh fruit and 200,000 - 240,000 VND/kg of exported beans.
