How much will electricity prices increase from today?

Since May 10, the average retail electricity price has been adjusted up to 2,204.06 VND/kWh. So, what is the retail price of electricity for manufacturing industries?

Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has just adjusted the retail electricity price to 2,204.06 VND/kWh (excluding VAT), effective from May 10.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also issued retail electricity prices for groups of electricity customers.

Accordingly, for the customer group of manufacturing industries , the retail electricity price is applied according to 4 voltage levels. The price at each level is calculated according to normal, off-peak and peak hours.

Specifically, at voltage levels of 110 kV and above, the retail price of electricity during normal hours is 1,811 VND/kWh; during off-peak hours the price is 1,146 VND/kWh and during peak hours the price is 3,266 VND/kWh.

At voltage levels from 22 kV to below 110 kV, the retail electricity price during normal hours is 1,833 VND/kWh, during off-peak hours is 1,190 VND/kWh, and during peak hours is 3,398 VND/kWh.

At voltage levels from 6 kV to below 22 kV, the electricity price for normal hours is 1,899 VND/kWh, for off-peak hours it is 1,234 VND/kWh, and for peak hours the price is up to 3,508 VND/kWh.

At voltage levels below 6 kV, the retail electricity price applied during normal hours is 1,987 VND/kWh, during off-peak hours it is 1,300 VND/kWh and during peak hours it is 3,640 VND/kWh.

This is also the highest retail electricity price applied to customers in the manufacturing industry.
