Specifically, after adjustment this morning, live pigs in Hanoi , Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Lao Cai and Thai Binh all decreased to 68,000 VND/kg; Ha Nam decreased to 67,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh are currently the provinces with the lowest estimated live pig prices, trading at 67,000 VND/kg.
The market for live pigs in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam is stable, keeping prices in the range of 68,000 - 75,000 VND/kg.
Of which, traders in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces are purchasing live pigs at 68,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.
In the Southern market, the price of live pigs continued to increase in the afternoon in Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc, both reaching 74,000 VND/kg.
Currently, the South is the region with the highest price of live pigs in the country. According to the latest survey, live pigs in this region are sold at a price of about 74,000 - 76,000 VND/kg.
Although there has been no new adjustment, this area is expected to fluctuate in the next few days as businesses stock up on goods for the April 30 - May 1 holiday.
According to experts, the price of live pigs on April 23 showed that the recovery momentum after a series of price increases at the beginning of the month is showing signs of slowing down. The North began to adjust downward after reaching a short-term peak, while the South is still the region with the highest price in the country.
It is forecasted that in the coming days, the market will depend heavily on consumption demand at industrial parks, restaurants and processing enterprises before the big holidays. If purchasing power increases, prices may rebound slightly in all three regions.
