Price trends and causes
According to experts, the price of live pigs is likely to continue to increase in the coming days, due to high demand for pork consumption along with limited supply in some localities.
The end of the year is the time when demand for pork increases sharply, especially in large cities. Adjustments to livestock farming scale and increased production costs have reduced supply compared to previous months. These factors push up livestock farming costs, directly affecting market prices.
However, some policies such as importing frozen pork from other countries have helped stabilize prices in the short term. Market regulation measures from local governments and authorities are also being implemented to prevent excessive price increases.
