Attending the conference were nearly 100 delegates representing leaders of departments, branches, unions, business associations, and representatives of enterprises and cooperatives participating in export activities in the province.

In recent years, the province's export activities have continuously grown in scale, and export products have been increasingly improved in both quality and quantity. If in 2020 the total export turnover reached 580 million USD, by 2024 the export turnover will reach 820 million USD. It is estimated that in the first 4 months of 2025, it will reach 685 million USD (reaching 80% of the plan, an increase of 55.8% over the same period last year).
Currently, in the province, there are about 30 enterprises participating in export with key products such as: coffee, rubber, cassava chips, pepper, wood products... The export market is increasingly expanding, in which the European market accounts for 50-60% of total export turnover, the Asian market accounts for about 30% of the province's total export turnover.
Up to now, Vietnam has participated in 20 bilateral and multilateral FTAs with most economies in the world. Of these, 17 FTAs have come into effect with more than 60 partners, covering all continents, with a total GDP accounting for nearly 90% of global GDP... The impact of FTAs has facilitated the province's agricultural exports. Currently, businesses have proactively invested in standard raw material areas, improved product quality, upgraded factories and warehouses, to anticipate consumption trends in foreign markets.
However, export activities still face many risks due to political conflicts between some countries causing high transportation costs, and US trade policy, especially tax policy, still has many unpredictable developments.

At the Conference, representatives of state management agencies promptly informed about policy mechanisms, foreign market information, and warned about risks of trade defense investigations and tariff policies for businesses and cooperatives to grasp.
Representatives of enterprises and cooperatives also raised difficulties and obstacles related to import-export activities, and at the same time recommended and proposed solutions related to promoting administrative procedure reform, procedures related to import-export, linkages between enterprises and enterprises, enterprises and state management agencies, etc.
In addition, delegates also discussed and proposed solutions to improve the Free Trade Agreement Implementation Index (FTA Index) in the province. Previously, according to the announcement of the FTA Implementation Index in localities in 2024, Gia Lai province ranked 39th out of 54 provinces and cities participating in the assessment with a total of 22.43 points.
