Rice price today, November 8: Rice price remains unchanged, fresh rice price remains stable

Rice prices today, November 8, 2025 in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated little.

In terms of rice, the price of OM 5451 (fresh) rice fluctuates between 5,300 - 5,500 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 fresh rice fluctuates between 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 (fresh) rice fluctuates between 5,100 - 5,300 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 (fresh) rice fluctuates between 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg, compared to the weekend.

In many localities today, the demand for rice has slowed down and prices are stable. In An Giang , the amount of fresh rice is low, trading is weak, and rice prices are stable. In Can Tho, traders buy sporadically, purchasing power is slow, and rice prices fluctuate little.

In Dong Thap and Vinh Long, the remaining rice is small, traders are buying slowly, prices are stable. In Tay Ninh, rice is harvested slowly, buying and selling transactions are still slow, prices are relatively stable.

Similar to rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Lua Rice Viet, currently the price of Soc Det raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,950 - 8,100 VND/kg; CL 555 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice for export fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg compared to the weekend.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,100 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3,4 fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,200 VND/kg; bran prices fluctuate at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to the weekend.

In localities today, the market is slow, trading is quiet, rice of all kinds is stable. In An Giang, warehouses are slow to buy rice of all kinds, rice prices fluctuate little.

In Lap Vo, Sa Dec (Dong Thap), in terms of volume, most large warehouses continue to buy slowly, prices are stable. In An Cu - Dong Thap, buying and selling transactions are weak, rice prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained the same as at the end of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND11,000 - 12,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at VND20,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND17,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice at VND16,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken fragrant rice ranges from 415 to 430 USD/ton; 100% broken rice ranges from 314 to 317 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice ranges from 478 to 482 USD/ton.
