Prices of many construction materials in Hai Duong increased sharply.

According to some construction material dealers in Ninh Giang, Kim Thanh and Hai Duong city, currently, the prices of some construction materials have increased sharply compared to early May.

Steel prices have increased compared to April 2025

Investigation by reporters of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television on May 27 showed that compared to the beginning of May, Hoa Phat steel, Thai Nguyen has a price of 15,700 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 - 1,200 VND/kg; black sand for filling is from 250,000 - 300,000 VND/ ^m3 , an increase of 70,000 - 80,000 VND/ ^m3 ; construction sand is 400,000 VND/ ^m3 , an increase of 130,000 - 150,000 VND/ ^m3 ; yellow sand (pouring ceiling) is from 650,000 - 800,000 VND/ ^m3 , an increase of 100,000 - 150,000 VND/ ^m3 ; Stone 480,000 - 500,000 VND/ ^m3 , increased from 35,000 - 40,000 VND/ ^m3 ... Thus, the above materials have increased from 5.9 - 27.2%.

The increase in construction material prices puts pressure on people to build and repair buildings.

According to some agents, the price of construction materials in Hai Duong has increased "dizzily" due to the impact of many factors such as: market supply and demand, production and transportation costs, as well as market fluctuations.

As a rule, from March onwards, construction demand increases while the current supply of some construction materials cannot meet the demand. Many households with construction and repair needs sometimes have to wait for materials because of scarce and interrupted supply.
