The high price of Arabica coffee has created a driving force to maintain the Robusta market, as many global roasters switched to using this type as an alternative. In addition, rain and storms coincided with the harvest season in Vietnam, affecting output, contributing to the increase in domestic coffee prices.
The harvest atmosphere in early November in Gia Lai's key growing areas such as Chu Prong, Ia Grai and Dak Doa became bustling. Farmers were excited to have both a good harvest and good prices, creating a busy scene of picking, drying and transporting coffee, typical of the golden season in the Central Highlands. Many households said that this year's profits had improved significantly, enough to cover the increased costs of fertilizer and labor.
In Dak Lak, many temporary workers have not found other jobs yet, waiting for the coffee harvest - the period that brings the highest income of the year. The demand for seasonal labor has skyrocketed in specialized growing areas, causing the wages for coffee picking to increase significantly.

Although Vietnam’s agricultural exports in 2025 show many positive signs, some product groups still face difficulties, affecting the overall growth rate. Experts say the agricultural sector needs to continue applying flexible solutions to remove barriers and maintain export momentum.
The rice industry is a clear example. In the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam exported about 7.2 million tons of rice, worth 3.7 billion USD - down 6.5% in volume and 23.8% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
Fruit and vegetable products were also affected when export turnover to South Korea decreased by nearly 1%, while Thailand reduced fruit and vegetable imports from Vietnam by 55.6%, showing that competitive pressure is increasing.
However, the outlook for the entire industry remains bright as many new products such as meat, eggs, and milk have begun to expand their international markets. If the current growth rate is maintained, agricultural export turnover in 2025 could reach around 67 billion USD, even surpassing the 70 billion USD mark.
