Vietnamese enterprise granted AI patent in the US

DNVN - Thanks to its high applicability, FPT's breakthrough neural network technology in its abnormal sound detection system has been patented in the US, affirming its commitment to pioneering AI innovation and contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position on the global AI map.

This AI model helps businesses, especially in the manufacturing sector, solve a key challenge in industrial maintenance and sound monitoring. The system can signal equipment failures, operational errors, or security risks by recognizing unusual sound patterns.

Even in noisy environments, the technology still allows for the detection of abnormalities by applying a highly trained encoder-decoder neural network structure.

This advanced AI model has been integrated byFPT into the Intelligent Inspection (I2) SoundAI solution deployed for customers in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. With the ability to detect abnormal sounds with up to 95% accuracy, SoundAI helps businesses proactively maintain equipment and check product quality, reduce dependence on manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

High applicability is one of the important factors that helps FPT's core AI technologies such as machine learning, image and audio data recognition and processing, and deep learning to be patented in advanced countries such as the US and Japan. Most recently, in early 2025, FPT became the first Vietnamese enterprise to be granted a patent in the US for the Neural Network System for Generating and Ranking Source Code, demonstrating its in-depth technological capabilities and pioneering position in global innovation. This technology is currently being applied to develop AI4Code - an intelligent programming assistant developed by FPT, helping to improve employee performance and product quality for customers.
