According to a survey, coffee prices in the Central Highlands today are stable, unchanged from yesterday, maintained in the range of 115,500 - 117,000 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong , the areas of Di Linh, Bao Loc and Lam Ha continued to trade at 115,500 VND/kg, unchanged from November 2.
In Dak Lak , coffee in Cu M'gar is still purchased at 116,800 VND/kg, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho are both at 116,700 VND/kg.
In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap traded at 117,000 and 116,900 VND/kg respectively, keeping the same price as yesterday.
Gia Lai region recorded coffee price in Chu Prong at 116,500 VND/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai were at 116,400 VND/kg, unchanged.
Coffee prices in the Central Highlands have increased for three consecutive weeks, 300-500 VND/kg higher than the previous week. Specifically, Dak Lak reached 116,800 VND/kg, Gia Lai 116,500 VND/kg, Lam Dong 115,500 VND/kg and Dak Nong led with 117,000 VND/kg.
In the third quarter, domestic coffee prices rebounded sharply after a period of decline in the second quarter, reaching an average of VND116,000/kg at the end of September, up 20% compared to early July. In October, prices fell slightly to VND113,000 - 114,000/kg, VND21,500 lower than the peak in March but equivalent to the same period in 2024.
Some businesses predict that coffee supply in the 2025-2026 crop year may still be in short supply. Although output is expected to increase, weather factors and harvest progress in key growing regions such as the Central Highlands will be decisive.
According to experts, coffee prices are unlikely to fall significantly because farmers are not under great selling pressure. The high prices of other agricultural products such as pepper and durian help farmers earn more income, thereby allowing them to hold onto their products and wait for better prices. If supply to the market is limited, prices may stay around VND120,000/kg, but when sales increase sharply, prices may drop to around VND100,000/kg.
Pepper prices increased slightly
Today, November 3, 2025, pepper prices in key regions increased from 500 to 1,000 VND/kg, trading around 145,500 - 148,000 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak, pepper was purchased at 148,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND compared to yesterday. Dak Nong (Lam Dong province) also recorded 148,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND. Pepper price in Gia Lai reached 145,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND. In Dong Nai, traders traded pepper at 145,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND compared to yesterday.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City province) is currently purchasing at 145,500 VND/kg, also an increase of 500 VND. Only Binh Phuoc (Dong Nai province) maintains the price at 146,000 VND/kg, unchanged.
World pepper prices are stable
According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), as of November 3, 2025, pepper prices in many countries remain unchanged.
Specifically, Indonesia's Lampung black pepper reached 7,213 USD/ton, while Muntok white pepper reached 10,064 USD/ton, both unchanged. In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper stood at 6,100 USD/ton. Malaysia maintained the price of ASTA black pepper at 9,200 USD/ton and ASTA white pepper at 12,300 USD/ton. Vietnam's pepper prices remained stable: 500 gr/l black pepper reached 6,400 USD/ton, 550 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; white pepper reached 9,050 USD/ton.
Last week, domestic pepper prices increased by 3,500 - 5,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Dak Lak and Dak Nong (Lam Dong province) increased the most by 5,000 VND/kg; Binh Phuoc (Dong Nai province) increased by 4,000 VND/kg; Gia Lai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City) both increased by 3,500 VND/kg.
The new crop supply is not yet available while the domestic pepper supply is still low, so the domestic pepper price is expected to remain high. Farmers tend to hoard their products and wait for better prices, reducing selling pressure and contributing to stabilizing the market.
In the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam exported 188,000 tons of pepper, earning US$1.27 billion. Although output decreased by 6.3%, value increased by 28.7% as the average export price reached US$6,774/ton - 37% higher than the same period last year.
The US's 40% tax policy on transit goods has forced Vietnamese businesses to limit imports of raw pepper from Brazil and switch to domestic purchases. Along with low inventories, domestic pepper prices are stable at around 150,000 - 151,000 VND/kg, creating a new price level for the market.
