Coffee price today November 3: Central Highlands coffee price increased for 3 consecutive weeks

Coffee prices in the Central Highlands increased for the third consecutive week, 300-500 VND higher than the previous week. Of which, Dak Lak reached 116,800 VND/kg, Gia Lai 116,500 VND/kg, Lam Dong 115,500 VND/kg and Dak Nong had the highest price at 117,000 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices in the third quarter increased sharply after a decline in the second quarter, averaging VND116,000/kg at the end of September, up 20% compared to early July. In October, prices fell slightly to VND113,000 - 114,000/kg, VND21,500 lower than the peak in March and nearly equivalent to the same period last year.

Some businesses predict that the coffee supply in the 2025-2026 crop year may continue to be in short supply. Although there is an increase in output, the results still depend largely on the weather and harvest progress in key growing areas such as the Central Highlands.

According to experts, coffee prices are unlikely to fall sharply because farmers are not under strong selling pressure. The high prices of other agricultural products such as pepper and durian help farmers earn better income, so they tend to hold onto their products waiting for higher prices. If the supply to the market is low, the price can stay around 120,000 VND/kg; conversely, when selling strongly, the price can drop to around 100,000 VND/kg.

Update world coffee prices

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for January 2026 delivery closed on November 3 at $4,540/ton, down 2.17% ($101/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for March 2026 delivery fell 2.1% ($96/ton) to $4,463/ton.

Similarly, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 on the New York Stock Exchange increased by 0.01% (0.05 US cent/pound) yesterday to 392.05 US cent/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 was unchanged at 372.25 US cent/pound.

Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange fell slightly last week, with the November 2025 contract reaching $4,524 per ton, down $47 from the previous week. The January 2026 contract also fell 0.4% to $4,540 per ton. This development shows that the Robusta market is temporarily slowing down after a prolonged period of increase.

In New York, Arabica coffee prices fell more sharply, with the December 2025 contract losing 2.7% to 392.05 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract fell 2.8% to 372.25 US cents/pound. The main reason was the expectation that the US and Brazil could reach a trade agreement, making investors cautious.

A return of wet weather in Brazil has helped improve crop yields, but heavy rains in Vietnam have raised concerns about the impact on the Robusta crop. U.S. roasters are pushing through inventories, awaiting the outcome of negotiations to see if they will have to pay higher prices for alternative supplies.

On the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia, the US President and the Brazilian President had a positive meeting, discussing the US's increase in tariffs on Brazilian goods. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said the meeting was "better than expected" and hoped for an early solution to stabilize trade, thereby supporting the global coffee market.
