Khanh Hoa established a Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1744 on the establishment of the Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Khanh Hoa province (referred to as Steering Committee 389/KH).

Accordingly, the Steering Committee 389/KH is headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in charge of industry and trade is the Standing Deputy Head. The Deputy Heads include leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Finance, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command and the Customs Sub-Department of Region XIII. The Steering Committee also includes leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors, representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, press agencies, the People's Procuracy and the Provincial Tax Department. The Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to be the standing agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for advising and coordinating with functional units in operating, organizing activities and ensuring funding according to regulations.

The Steering Committee 389/KH is responsible for developing and implementing programs and plans to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in accordance with the actual situation of the province; directing coordination between functional forces in detecting and handling violations; maintaining a hotline to receive information and feedback from people about smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area. The Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to establish the grassroots Steering Committee 389, headed by the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, to ensure practical and effective operations.

The establishment of Steering Committee 389/KH aims to strengthen market management, protect consumer rights, and contribute to building a healthy and transparent business environment in Khanh Hoa province.
