The fact that US businesses are increasing imports of goods from China before the new tax is imposed in August 2025 has caused sea freight rates to increase dramatically. The Malaysian pepper market remains stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,150 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,850 USD/ton.

Pepper prices in Brazil remained stable, with little change compared to the previous trading session. The current purchase price is 6,650 USD/ton.

Vietnam's pepper export market suddenly dropped sharply, down 200 USD/ton compared to many previous stable and sideways sessions. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,600 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,500 USD/ton.
