Gold price today (August 26), afternoon session, domestic gold is trading stably.
Accordingly, today's gold price at DOJI Hanoi is 67.2 million VND/tael for buying; 68.1 million VND/tael for selling. At DOJI Saigon, the gold buying price is 67.2 million VND/tael; the gold selling price is 68.05 million VND/tael.
SJC Hanoi and Da Nang are listing gold prices at 67.35 million VND/tael for buying and 68.07 million VND/tael for selling.

In the world, early afternoon of August 26 (Vietnam time), the world gold price on Kitco is standing at 1,914 USD/ounce.
Analyst Craig Erlam at financial firm OANDA said that gold prices will find it difficult to get a strong momentum to break out without a significant increase in inflation data or a worsening job market. Traders have more reason to believe that interest rates will continue to rise, pushing the US dollar up and putting pressure on gold prices.
Rising global bond yields and a strong US dollar have led to a sell-off in gold over the past month. The US 10-year bond yield rose 4 basis points to 4.274% on August 25. Meanwhile, the USD index rose 0.1% to 104.08 (points).
Gold prices rose 1% to a near two-week high on August 23, as US bond yields and the dollar declined as investors looked ahead to the Jackson Hole conference. Spot gold rose 1% to $1,916.20 an ounce, after hitting its highest since August 11 earlier in the session. US gold futures rose 1.1% to $1,948.10 an ounce. In the session on August 22, gold prices rose as US government bond yields fell. Gold for December 2023 delivery rose $3, or 0.16%, to close at $1,926 an ounce.
