Doji Hanoi listed at 66.4 million VND per tael for buying and 67 million VND per tael for selling.
On the world market, the spot gold price on the night of June 2, Vietnam time, was trading around 1,964 USD per ounce, down 0.63% compared to the beginning of the session. The futures gold price was trading at 1,965 USD per ounce.
World gold prices fell amid the release of the US jobs report and many investors speculated that the US Federal Reserve could continue to raise interest rates at its meeting in the middle of this month.
The gold market is struggling to hold its position at $2,000 an ounce. However, the precious metal faces pressure from US labor data.
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 339,000 jobs last month, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. That was higher than forecast.

Regarding the dollar price , the exchange rate of Vietnamese Dong against the US dollar was listed by the State Bank on June 2 at 23,722 VND per USD, down 7 VND compared to the previous day.
The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam on June 2 was 23,400 VND for buying and 24,858 VND for selling per dollar. The USD price at commercial banks on June 2 was traded around 23,280 VND for buying and 23,650 VND for selling.
Globally, the US dollar is showing signs of recovery. The DXY index - which measures the strength of the USD against six major currencies - rose to 103.78 points at 9:54 p.m. on June 2, up 0.22% from the previous session.
World oil prices continued to rise amid investor optimism after the US debt ceiling bill was passed. Brent crude oil prices rose to $76 a barrel, while WTI crude oil prices were close to $72 a barrel.
In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of June 1 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
