Bao Tin Minh Chau gold price is currently buying at 98.5 million VND/tael and selling at 100.7 million VND/tael, unchanged compared to the last trading session of the week. According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 3,083.39 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is unchanged compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,868 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 96.1 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 4.3 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

According to Peter Grant of Zaner Metals, the rally is largely driven by the sentiment of gold as a “safe haven.” Concerns about tariffs, trade and global political instability are driving investors to gold as a hedge against uncertainty.

Goldman Sachs expects gold to end the year at $3,300 an ounce, citing stronger-than-expected inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and steady demand from central banks as key factors driving the price rise.

Mr. Ilya Spivak - Global Macro Director at market analysis company Tastylive - commented that the 3,057 USD mark is an important threshold for world gold prices, followed by the 3,100 USD/ounce mark.

Aside from technical factors, gold prices are still supported by US economic data showing a slowing growth rate. The upcoming jobs report next week could create volatility in the market. If the US labor market weakens, this could negatively impact stocks and boost demand for safe-haven gold.

Economists are also watching the market's reaction to the US's implementation of new tariffs on April 2. These trade policies could affect the global economy and indirectly impact gold prices.
