Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold rings of type 1-5 at only 77.9-79.2 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 100 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend.

Similarly, DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group also increased the price of gold rings by 100,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price of the last trading session of the week, listing the price of 9999 round gold rings at 78-79.2 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
In the domestic market, gold prices also continued to set new highs for 24K gold rings and jewelry of all kinds. At 1 p.m., the ring gold price listed by businesses was VND77.9 million/tael for purchase and VND79.2 million/tael for sale, an increase of VND100,000 per tael compared to yesterday. This is also an unprecedented level for the price of ring gold.
SJC gold bars alone remain stable at around VND78.5 million/tael for buying and VND80.5 million/tael for selling. The price of gold bars has been stable for over a week.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 1:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,588.62 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 8.07 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 75.794 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 2,706 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The latest Kitco News weekly gold survey shows that analysts and retail investors are cautiously optimistic about gold's potential for higher prices this week.
Gold is at a new record high, with expectations growing for a 50 basis point rate cut by the Federal Reserve next week, said Marc Chandler, CEO of Bannockburn Global Forex. He also said that in the near term, $2,600 is an attractive price for the precious metal.
Adam Button, head of currency strategy at Forexlive.com, said that in the event of a 25 basis point cut by the Fed, some reflexive selling could occur, but there is currently no reason to fight the upward trend in gold prices.
The US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision will be the main focus of the market this week. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s speech at the Jackson Hole Conference in late August reinforced the likelihood that the Fed will make a decision to cut interest rates at its next meeting on September 18.
The US central bank has kept its key lending rate at a two-decade high of 5.25-5.5% for the past 14 months.
With the labor market cooling and the U.S. economy continuing to grow, policymakers have decided it is time to cut interest rates. Markets are pricing in a 55% chance of a 25 basis point cut in U.S. interest rates and a 45% chance of a 50 basis point cut in the next few days, experts say.
Not only the Fed, the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan will also announce monetary policy decisions this week.
