Gold price falls far below 119 million VND/tael

After remaining unchanged at the opening this morning, May 27, the domestic gold price decreased by 700,000 VND/tael, falling far below the 119 million VND/tael mark.

The reason is that the world's precious metal prices have dropped sharply. At nearly 4 p.m., the international gold price was trading at $3,300/ounce, down nearly $40/ounce compared to 9 a.m. the same day.

The converted world gold price is about 14.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed gold bars and rings at VND111 million/tael (buy) - VND114 million/tael (sell), down VND500,000/tael compared to the morning of the same day as well as compared to the end of the previous day.

113.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.8 million VND/tael (sell) is the price listed by Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited for plain round gold rings, 700,000 VND/tael higher than before each way.

Saigon Jewelry Joint Stock Company set the price at 111.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 114.5 million VND/tael (sell), down 500,000 VND/tael each way.

The price of SJC gold bars also went down. Enterprises listed the price at 115.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 118.3 million VND/tael (sell), down 700,000 VND/tael each way.

The gold buying and selling price range is commonly set by businesses at 3 million VND/tael.
