Gasoline prices increased across the board, RON95-III up to 20,608 VND per liter

Domestic gasoline and oil prices were simultaneously adjusted up from 3:00 p.m. on September 18, with E5RON92 gasoline price increasing to VND19,986/liter, RON95-III price increasing to VND20,608/liter, and diesel price increasing to VND18,705/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices will decrease from 3 p.m. today (September 18).

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,986 VND/liter, an increase of 230 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,608 VND/liter, an increase of 208 VND/liter compared to. Following the same upward trend as gasoline prices, diesel oil price increased by 62 VND/liter, to 18,705 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter, the new price is 18,544 VND/liter, mazut oil increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no deductions or expenditures for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that up to the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,085 billion VND, unchanged.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on September 11, gasoline prices decreased, specifically E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 95 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 39 VND/liter. Diesel oil increased by 170 VND/liter; Kerosene increased by 54 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 286 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday.
