The Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance has just adjusted the retail price of gasoline and oil in the adjustment period today, May 29. The application time is from 3:00 p.m., May 29, 2025.

Specifically, the price of E5RON92 gasoline increased by 67 VND/liter, to 19,263 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, to 19,698 VND/liter.
Diesel 0.05S price: Increased by 284 VND/liter, at 17,420 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter, at 17,284 VND/liter; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S decreased by 86 VND/kg, down to 16,178 VND/kg.
In this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this adjustment period (from May 29, 2025 to June 4, 2025) is affected by key factors such as: OPEC+ maintains the same increase in oil production in July as in previous months; nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran (a member of OPEC); military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity in recent days.
The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price management period on May 29, 2025 and the management period on June 5, 2025 is: 75.670 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 0.038 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.05%); 77.306 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 0.408 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.53%); 78.470 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 0.704 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.91%); 79.948 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel (up 1.298 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.65%); 426,338 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 4,546 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 1.06%).
In the world, on the morning of June 5, WTI crude oil price was at 63.17 USD/barrel, down 0.24 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.38%. Brent oil was at 65.39 USD/barrel, down 0.24 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.37%.
Thus, world oil prices today reversed to decrease after yesterday's strong increase. At the end of yesterday's trading session (June 4), WTI crude oil and Brent crude oil increased by 1.4% and 1.5%, respectively, to the highest level in 2 weeks.
According to analysts, oil prices increased as tensions between Russia and Ukraine and the US and Iran continued, causing sanctions on two members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+), Russia and Iran, to be maintained for a longer period of time.
OPEC+ plans to increase production by 411,000 barrels per day in July are weighing on the market, but prices have been supported by wildfires in Canada that have cut production by about 344,000 barrels per day, according to Reuters estimates.
Previously, in the operating period on May 29, 2025 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance, gasoline prices were adjusted to increase, specifically, the price of E5RON92 gasoline increased by 74 VND/liter, not higher than 19,196 VND/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, not higher than 19,565 VND/liter.
Prices of all types of oil decreased simultaneously: Diesel oil decreased by 269 VND/liter, down to 17,136 VND/liter. Kerosene price decreased by 206 VND/liter, not higher than 17,108 VND/liter and fuel oil price decreased by 248 VND/kg, not higher than 16,264 VND/kg.
In this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.
Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 23 adjustment sessions, including 9 sessions of decrease, 10 sessions of increase and 4 sessions of opposite direction. |
