Determined to grow double digits

In 2024, the province's economy will continue to maintain growth, with the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increasing by 7.25%, ranking 35th out of 63 provinces and cities, and 9th out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. Also in 2024, Binh Thuan province's state budget revenue exceeded the planned target, with the total state budget revenue reaching VND 10,851 billion, reaching 108.51% of the annual estimate, up 4.1% over the same period in 2023. To create momentum for socio-economic development in 2025 and the following years, Binh Thuan province has set out many key tasks and solutions for development. Accordingly, the province will effectively develop the three pillars of industry, tourism, and agriculture, striving to achieve a double-digit GRDP growth rate under the direction of the Prime Minister. In particular, industrial development with the core being clean energy industry, renewable energy, processing and manufacturing industry, accelerating the progress of infrastructure investment in industrial parks. Agricultural development with a focus on ecological agriculture, applying high technology with the agricultural - industrial processing production chain. Encouraging enterprises to invest in agriculture, rural areas, organic agricultural farms, high-tech agricultural applications. Promoting investment promotion, inviting enterprises, strategic investors, with brands, capacity, and experience to invest in large-scale projects in areas with potential for tourism and service development of the province according to the planning. Paying attention to exploiting and developing the domestic consumption market, strengthening trade promotion activities, supporting enterprises to promote brands, introduce products, find customers, and develop domestic and foreign product consumption markets.

Create a solid foundation for growth

At the closing session of the 9th Extraordinary Session on February 19, 2025, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on supplementing the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan with a growth target of 8% or more. The Resolution clearly states that the general goal is to consolidate and prepare the fundamental factors to successfully implement the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030, marking the time when the country enters a new era of development, contributing to creating a solid foundation to achieve a double-digit growth rate in the period 2026-2030. Accordingly, Binh Thuan province has proactively led and directed the decision to set the growth target for 2025 at 8 - 8.5%, striving for a growth of 10%, and at the same time identified key tasks to achieve a double-digit growth rate. To achieve this goal, Binh Thuan province will continue to increase investment efficiency, promote private investment in production, especially in industry and innovation. Mobilize and effectively use all resources for development, accelerate the construction of synchronous strategic infrastructure, especially key projects and works. On the other hand, the province also identifies public investment disbursement as a top priority, striving to achieve a disbursement rate of at least 95% by the end of 2025. With advantages in tourism development, in 2025, it strives to complete the reception of over 10 million visitors and achieve tourism revenue of over VND 28,200 billion. The agricultural sector focuses on digital transformation as well as developing large-scale commodity agriculture, applying high technology, creating products with added value. In addition, promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation, improving the business environment and enhancing competitiveness. Focus on developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources, associated with promoting research, development and application of science and technology, promoting innovation and startups. With that determination, in the first quarter of 2025, the growth rate of the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 8.1%. The index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 10.4% over the same period in 2024. The progress of investment in industrial park infrastructure in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 4.98 times over the same period. Industrial parks in the province attracted 2 more investment projects, with a total registered capital of 300 billion VND and 35 million USD, and a land area of ​​13,699 hectares. The whole province welcomed 2.6 million visitors, an increase of 13.76% over the same period, with revenue reaching 7,050 billion VND, an increase of 16.24% over the same period. Export turnover is estimated at 275 million USD, up 30.25% over the same period. Agricultural production remains stable, the output of exploited aquatic products is estimated at 53,810 tons, reaching 22.1% of the plan, up 7.6% over the same period. Total budget revenue is estimated at 3,126 billion VND, up 1.83% over the same period.
