Volleyball tournament before the 12th Dien Bien Provincial Sports Festival

VHO - On November 7, at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the 12th Dien Bien Provincial Sports Congress in 2026 held the opening ceremony of the volleyball competition, the pre-conference event.

The tournament had the participation of 9 teams with nearly 100 officials, coaches, and athletes from the Department of Education and Training, Department of Health , government agencies, Dien Bien Phu ward, Sam Mun commune, and Thanh An commune.

The volleyball tournament is organized according to the Plan of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the 12th Dien Bien Provincial Sports Congress and the Regulations of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien . This is the first time that volleyball has been officially included in the Congress with 2 events: men's team and women's team.

The tournament had the participation of 9 teams with nearly 100 officials, coaches, and athletes from the Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, government agencies, Dien Bien Phu ward, Sam Mun commune, and Thanh An commune.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes of the teams competed with all their might, giving the audience dramatic, attractive, exciting matches with high professional quality, demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship - solidarity - honesty - nobility with the motto of the Congress "Faster - higher - stronger", determined to achieve high results, contributing to the overall results of the Congress. The competition results of the teams were counted in the medal tally of the delegations participating in the Congress, which was the basis for ranking First, Second, Third for the whole delegation and for each competition block.

The teams played their best, giving the audience dramatic and exciting matches.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the organization of the tournament will contribute to creating momentum to promote the strong development of the mass sports movement, create a healthy playground, contribute to effectively implementing the Project on developing physical strength and stature of Vietnamese people in Dien Bien province and the Project on developing sports for everyone by 2030.

According to the plan, the closing ceremony and award ceremony will take place on the afternoon of November 9, at the Sports Training Center, Dien Bien Provincial Stadium.
