Thuy Linh entered the semi-finals of the Korean Super 300 badminton tournament

VHO - On the afternoon of November 7, Vietnam's No. 1 female tennis player - Nguyen Thuy Linh won the right to enter the semi-finals of the 2025 Korean Masters Badminton Tournament, a Super 300 level playground of the BWF World Tour system.

Thuy Linh's opponent (seed number 2, world rank 24) in the quarter-finals is Korean tennis player Lee So Yul (world rank 110).

Thuy Linh has an impressive return at the Korea Masters 2025

With a higher ranking and rating, Thuy Linh started the game very well in set 1. Vietnam's number 1 tennis player had a series of 4 points to lead 10-6, then took the lead 14-8, 17-10 before winning 21-12.

However, set 2 was much more difficult for Thuy Linh when Lee So Yul played with determination and effort.

The Korean player quickly took a 4-1 lead. Although Thuy Linh later equalized at 12-12, Lee So Yul had a series of 4 points to lead 16-12.

Thuy Linh tried very hard to equalize at 19-19. Then the Vietnamese player saved 1 break before winning 23-21.

Defeating Lee So Yul 2-0 (21-12, 23-12) after 36 minutes of competition, Thuy Linh won the right to enter the semi-finals of the 2025 Korean Masters Badminton Tournament.

Here, Thuy Linh will meet the winner of the match between Thailand's 6th seed - Pitchamon Opatniouth and Akechi Hina (Japan).

After more than a month and a half of injury treatment and withdrawal from international tournaments, Nguyen Thuy Linh has officially marked her return at the Korea Masters 2025.

Her most recent appearance on the BWF World Tour was at the China Masters in September.

Besides Thuy Linh, Vietnamese badminton also has Nguyen Hai Dang (men's singles) and Nguyen Dinh Hoang/Tran Dinh Manh (men's doubles) participating in the tournament.
