Director of National Sports Complex calls for difficulties, Department of Physical Education and Sports gives urgent instructions

(PLVN) - Faced with the deterioration of My Dinh Stadium as well as the not-so-optimistic business situation of the National Sports Complex, Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet had a working session with the National Sports Complex to grasp the current situation, as well as give instructions on the tasks that need to be implemented in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Ho - Director of the National Sports Complex shared the current difficulties of the unit such as: the number of officials and employees in the unit is still small, while the workload is large; current revenue is only enough to ensure payment for the unit; the infrastructure system in many places has degraded and needs maintenance, etc.

“We hope to continue to receive support, assistance, and advice from the leaders of the Vietnam Sports Administration so that the unit can gradually overcome difficulties, operate more systematically, and help stabilize and gradually improve the material and spiritual lives of all cadres, civil servants, and workers,” Mr. Ho expressed.

Information from the representative of the Planning and Finance Department, Department of Sports and Physical Training, said: The National Sports Complex is a 100% autonomous unit. In the recent past, business activities at the unit have encountered many difficulties due to the impact of obstacles from the mechanism and many other objective and subjective factors.

Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet said that up to now, the National Sports Complex has initially overcome difficulties, but to develop further, there is still a lot of work to do. The Administration will always accompany the unit in all tasks, but the main thing is still the initiative of the unit's own officers.

“People who need work must stick to the work. Any place or department that is slow, within the authority of the Department, as a leader, I affirm that it will be handled quickly.

The unit's task is to handle each task carefully, seriously from small to large tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations. The unit needs to calculate reasonably, the immediate thing to do is to closely follow the Projects and reports submitted to the Ministry, see where the problems are, proactively learn and coordinate to handle them...", Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet emphasized.

Faced with the deterioration of facilities and difficulties in revenue, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet directed: “The unit itself needs to take the initiative to start repairs. Assign staff to regularly monitor, inspect, review, and clean up as much as possible. Basically, what can be proactively done should be proactive…

Resolving difficulties and obstacles must be flexible but effective. With business activities that generate revenue, we should balance compliance with legal regulations but also make businesses trust and accompany us. That is an economic calculation that is beneficial to the unit itself."
