Visiting and wishing longevity to Mr. Le Van Ngu (born in 1935, residing in Ward 9, District 6), Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong kindly asked about the health and daily life of the old man and his family. Mr. Le Van Ngu was the former Secretary of the District 6 Party Committee from 1986 to 1989, a 65-year Party member, with many contributions to local activities; he himself is always exemplary in following and mobilizing his family members and people around him to follow the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws.

The delegation also visited Mr. Bui Van Lam (born in 1935, residing in Ward 14, District 6). Mr. Bui Van Lam is a family with revolutionary contributions, the father of a martyr, and his wife has passed away. He currently lives with his eldest daughter's family and grandchildren. He has lost his ability to work, has diabetes and had to have his toes amputated, making it difficult for him to move around. His daughter is a housewife and has no income. He and his family strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the regulations of the locality where he lives.

At the places visited, Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong kindly asked about the health and daily routine of the elderly. He listened to their opinions, suggestions and confidences and expressed his joy at their good health and clear mind. At the same time, he affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City always cares about the health of the elderly. The elderly are a valuable asset of society, a spiritual support and a shining example for the younger generation to learn from and follow.
