The invigilator's attire, gestures, and speech must be standard. When communicating with the examinee, always be open and friendly, helping the examinee to confidently do the best test. Remind the examinee repeatedly at the beginning of each test session and at the end of the test about the necessary things for the examinee to perform accurately. Monitor the examinee, promptly remind the examinee when he/she does not do it correctly, and strictly check when collecting the test. If any unusual incident is detected, quickly report it to the head of the test site through the examination room supervisor. At this time, keep the examination room in order, ensure that the examinee does the test seriously, avoid talking loudly to the examinee, which will affect the whole examination room.

Although there are not many unusual situations in the examination room, they are diverse and sometimes complicated. When detecting errors in the examination room, supervisors must remember not to hide the errors but honestly report promptly to the head of the examination site and ensure the rights of candidates according to the examination regulations.

It is necessary to pay attention to important times such as starting to distribute test papers, starting to calculate the test time, and preparing to collect test papers.

Learn from last year's marking mistakes

In 2024, the irresponsible grading of the 10th grade entrance exam led to serious consequences in Thai Binh province. The Director of the Department of Education and Training of this province received disciplinary action and lost his position. This year, the Thai Binh Provincial Examination Council affirmed that the grading will be carried out with the participation of a team of experienced staff and teachers, carefully selected and fully trained.

Ms. Ha Thi Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Thai Binh Department of Education and Training, said that the cheating work will be organized independently, separate from the exam marking department to ensure objectivity, fairness, and avoid errors or information disclosure. The exam marking area will be equipped with surveillance cameras and security forces on duty 24/7. The Department of Education and Training will also strengthen inspection and supervision at all stages to promptly detect and handle any arising situations. All of this is aimed at the highest goal of ensuring the legitimate rights of candidates and maintaining the society's trust in the exam.
