This is the focus of the exchanges between representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Southern Departments of Education and Training at the Conference on implementing effective models in digital transformation in the education and training sector, organized by the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training - Southern Center for Education and Training Development.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Thang Loi - Director of the Southern Center for Education and Training Development, Ministry of Education and Training - affirmed that digital transformation is a key task, decisive for the development of the education sector.
Comprehensive digital transformation, popularization and strong application of digital technology in education are urgent to improve the country's capacity and sustainable development.
However, the implementation process still faces many difficulties: some places are still confused, technology infrastructure is not yet available, especially in remote areas, digital capacity of teachers, managers and students is still limited; data is not yet synchronized, financial resources and high-quality human resources are still lacking.
To resolve these problems, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued a digital competency framework, creating a foundation for training teachers and managers, aiming to build digital schools and digital higher education associated with artificial intelligence (AI), big data and virtual reality technology. At the same time, the development of electronic transcripts, digital diplomas and digital learning materials systems is also being promoted.

Presenting at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Hoa - an independent consultant - emphasized that people are the key factor in digital transformation. According to him, the biggest limitation today is that data is not complete, accurate and timely, which limits the effectiveness of electronic management.
"The machine only supports processing, while data collection depends entirely on humans. It is humans who decide the effectiveness of creating and training data for AI," he analyzed.
To promote the power of digital education, he said, it is necessary to synchronously deploy many solutions: collect data using IoT in real time; design automatic digital training processes that adapt to reality; develop diverse, intuitive digital learning materials; perfect the legal corridor, and build a strong digital workforce.
"The faster the digital transformation, the faster the country progresses. In education, the two key tasks are developing digital training processes and building digital learning materials," he emphasized.
The conference is also an opportunity for localities and educational institutions in the South to share difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. Share experiences and find synchronous solutions to replicate effective models.
At the same time, promote cooperation with technology enterprises, invest in infrastructure, and develop online learning platforms. Linking the digital transformation movement with reward criteria is also considered an important driving force, helping to spread the spirit of innovation and creativity throughout the industry.
