The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has just held a conference to announce and hand over Decision 244/QD-UBND dated March 6, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on forest allocation to the Deo Ca Special-Use Forest Management Board.
According to this decision, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned 4,554.52 hectares of forest with a total timber reserve of more than 287,408m3 , including 454 lots, 68 plots, 10 sub-areas in Hoa Tam and Hoa Xuan Nam communes to the Deo Ca Special-Use Forest Management Board for the purpose of protecting and developing special-use forests and production. Of which, natural forest is 2,739 hectares, planted forest has a reserve of 1,230.62 hectares, and planted forest without a reserve of 584.9 hectares. The forest use period is long-term according to the provisions of law in the form of no usage fee collection.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ly Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, requested the Deo Ca Special-Use Forest Management Board to specifically determine the boundaries in the field, be responsible for placing markers and nameplates in the field, and manage and protect them. The Board must also correct land records and update forest allocation records according to its authority; at the same time, manage, protect, develop and use the allocated forest area for the right purposes according to the provisions of the law on land and forestry.
