On December 31, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District ( Vinh Long ) reported the incident of a female IT teacher bringing her family members into the school to beat many other teachers right at a meeting; at the same time, the police are verifying and handling the case.

Accordingly, on December 13, the board of Hieu Phung A Primary School (Vung Liem District) met to review violations of regulations and professional duties of Ms. Nguyen Thi To Linh at the school, but Ms. Linh did not write a review. Afterwards, Ms. Linh and her family members insulted the school's leaders and teachers during the meeting.

Notably, Ms. Linh and her family members assaulted 4 school teachers right in the meeting room, one of whom was beaten until his nose bled... The incident only stopped when other teachers at the school intervened.

After the incident, from December 16 to 19, Ms. Linh submitted a leave of absence from teaching, citing hospitalization. Since December 20, Ms. Linh has not come to school to teach, nor has she submitted a permit. The Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District has requested the Principal of Hieu Phung A Primary School to verify the current status of Ms. Nguyen Thi To Linh, determine the reason for not coming to school to teach, and handle the matter according to regulations.

Review of principal and union chairman

Also related to Ms. Linh's case, according to Mr. Tran Cong Thanh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District, Ms. Linh had previously sent a complaint to the Principal of Hieu Phung A Primary School with many contents that upset this teacher.

Specifically, mobilizing teachers from Hieu Phung A Primary School to teach at Dang Thi Chinh Primary School (about 25 km from Ms. Linh's house); deciding to increase salary slowly; forcing Ms. Linh to bring her own computer to teach at a school equipped with a computer room; requiring Ms. Linh to compensate the Union fund...

After inspecting the contents of Ms. Nguyen Thi To Linh's reflection, on December 13, Mr. Vo Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of Vung Liem District People's Committee, responded in writing, stating that the content of the denunciation had both correct and incorrect points.

Regarding the correct reflection, the People's Committee of Vung Liem District directed the Department of Education and Training to organize a meeting to rectify the above limitations and the Principal of Hieu Phung A Primary School to organize a public meeting, admitting shortcomings and limitations to the collective of school teachers in direction and management.

After that, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District also requested a review before the pedagogical council for Mr. Truong Van Sau, Principal of Hieu Phung A Primary School, in approving the application for Ms. Nguyen Thi To Linh to study with her own funds but not reporting to the Department of Education and Training to request approval from the District People's Committee.

The direction of Ms. Nguyen Thi To Linh to bring computers to the branch school to teach IT caused difficulties for teachers; the coordination with the school's Union Chairman to handle the fund for the poor in 2022 was not in accordance with the procedure, affecting the reputation of teachers.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District also criticized Mr. Huynh Van Son, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hieu Phung A Primary School, before the collective pedagogical council for handling the lost fund for the poor in 2022 without following the correct procedures, affecting the reputation of the teacher.
