Introducing the 2023 Ballon d'Or award

On October 24, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Vietnam Golden Ball Award held a press conference to introduce the award categories. This award, organized by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, is a prestigious award of Vietnamese football.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards, said that this year, in addition to the 12 categories that have been regularly awarded (awards for male players, female players, futsal players, excellent young male and female players...), the Organizing Committee also added the Dedication Award category for players, coaches, and managers who have contributed to the development of national football.

This award is selected by the Organizing Committee based on consultation and suggestions, in recognition of the efforts of players and coaches over a period of time.

For the 2023 Golden Ball award for men, the Organizing Committee nominated 20 players with many familiar names such as: Hoang Duc, Ngoc Hai, Hung Dung, Van Lam, Tuan Anh, Van Thanh...

According to the Organizing Committee, in early November 2023, the Organizing Committee will send ballots and nomination lists to football experts, national team coaches, coaches, captains of V-League clubs, women's teams, futsal teams, and sports reporters to conduct voting.

The deadline for collecting votes is December 28, 2023. The 2023 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Gala is scheduled to take place in January 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.
