Comments on the Draft Documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh Province

Attending the conference were members of the Advisory Council; former leaders of the Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province through the periods, leaders of political and social organizations, members of the Document Subcommittee of the Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province.

The Draft Political Report of the Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province, term 2024-2029, is titled "Promoting the strength of great national unity, innovating content and methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of the Fatherland Front's activities in the new situation, contributing to building Bac Ninh province into a centrally-run city in the direction of modern civilization".

The theme of the congress is “Solidarity, democracy, innovation, development”. The Congress documents are built in 2 parts. The first part summarizes the situation of the great national unity bloc and the results of implementing the action program of the Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province, term 2019 - 2024; the second part is about the direction, goals, tasks and action program of the Fatherland Front of the province, term XIV, term 2024 - 2029.

Presenting the Report on the situation and preparations for the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels of Bac Ninh province for the 2024-2029 term, Mr. Nguyen Van Trien - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province said that through the process of organizing the Congress for the 2024-2029 term, with the direct and comprehensive attention and direction of Party committees at all levels and the close coordination of authorities at all levels, and guidance of the Fatherland Front at higher levels, the Congress of the Fatherland Front at commune and district levels was successfully organized.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trien, the process of organizing the Congress has some new points: Personnel work is carried out in accordance with procedures and instructions. The number of committee members has increased compared to the previous term. The quality of committee members and the Standing Committee has been improved in terms of professional qualifications, gradually rejuvenating the team, increasing the proportion of typical individuals who are members of the Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level, and the proportion of non-party members is guaranteed from 25 to 30%.

The organization and management of the Congress were carried out according to plan, with centralized direction. The preparation of documents; decoration and propaganda work before, during and after the Congress were generally well done, creating the success of the Congress with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".

The report on the performance results for the 2019-2024 term is concise, with supporting data and a comparison of the percentage achieved with the targets set at the beginning of the term. The advantages, limitations and causes are assessed, and lessons learned are drawn. The goals, directions, and action programs for the 2024-2029 term are set out in accordance with the actual situation and instructions from the Fatherland Front at higher levels.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Congress is expected to be completed in August 2024.

Discussing and giving opinions at the conference, delegates basically agreed with the title, topic; and layout of the congress documents. At the same time, they also gave additional comments on the typical results of the Front in mobilizing people to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out campaigns and emulation movements; the results of the campaign to support the construction of Great Unity houses for poor households in especially difficult circumstances; the specific goals and targets set for the next term; the contents of the Front's foreign affairs, supervision and criticism work...

Concluding the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible comments of the delegates.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Document Subcommittee receive and synthesize, as a basis for completing the Draft Political Report, complete and of high quality, clearly demonstrating the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building the Great National Unity bloc, promoting the socio -economic development goals of Bac Ninh province.
