Comments on the detailed outline of Thai Nguyen history

On March 20, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to organize a scientific workshop to contribute ideas to the detailed outline of Thai Nguyen's history (from the beginning to 2025). Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Project Manager, co-chaired the workshop.

At the end of November 2023, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province issued Decision No. 2973/QDD-UBND on approving the provincial-level science and technology project "Research and compilation of Thai Nguyen province's history" and selected the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics as the host unit.

Based on the data and historical milestones of the nation in general and Thai Nguyen province in particular, after 4 months of implementation, up to now, the Project Management Board and members have completed the Outline and Detailed Outline. It is expected that the History of Thai Nguyen province will consist of 2 volumes, 12 chapters; reconstructing the formation and development process of the province from its beginning to the present in all aspects in a systematic and in-depth manner. At the same time, affirming the position, role and contributions of Thai Nguyen province to the history of the nation through the periods. This will also be a valuable source of documents, with high accuracy, serving the research,education and propaganda work on the history of the province for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

At the Workshop, delegates highly appreciated the draft Outline for closely following and being consistent with the historical process of the nation, clarifying typical historical milestones of Thai Nguyen to show the transformation of the province from its origin to 2025. In addition, delegates also gave detailed comments on the layout, structure of the Outline, and how to title it; suggested adding more typical historical figures and events to highlight the differences and highlights of Thai Nguyen compared to other localities in the historical process of the nation, especially deeply exploiting the position and role of Thai Nguyen province during the resistance war period...

Based on the detailed and accurate comments of the delegates at the Workshop, the Project Management Board will absorb, complete the detailed Outline and implement the next steps. In the coming time, the Project Management Board hopes that historical researchers in Thai Nguyen province and the participating delegates will continue to help and cooperate to complete the project to ensure the quality and progress set out. It is expected that the book Thai Nguyen History (from the beginning to 2025) will be published at the end of 2025.
