Ha Nam: Commencement of 18.4 million USD social housing project at Dong Van I Industrial Park expansion

The groundbreaking ceremony of the practical project celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day, May 1.

The project is built on an area of nearly 24,000 m², designed to include 5 buildings from 9 to 10 floors high, with a total investment of up to 18.4 million USD. When put into operation, the residential area is capable of accommodating about 2,000 people, mainly workers and highly technical experts working at factories and enterprises in the province.

Mr. Tran Xuan Duong, Vice Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee gave a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Xuan Duong affirmed that investing in social housing development is one of the major policies that the province has paid attention to in recent years, especially in industrial parks with rapid growth rates. "This project will contribute to stabilizing the lives of workers, helping them feel secure in their long-term commitment, while also creating more attraction for Ha Nam in calling for investment, especially FDI capital," Mr. Duong emphasized.

Ha Nam province commits to accompany enterprises, create the most favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms and policies, support investment procedures and promptly remove difficulties in the process of project implementation. At the same time, it requests relevant units to focus on close direction, apply modern construction technology, ensure labor safety and speed up progress so that the project can be completed soon, in accordance with the commitment.

On the investor side, a representative of Gemtek Vietnam Co., Ltd. pledged to mobilize maximum resources and closely coordinate with construction contractors and supervision consultants to ensure the progress and quality of the project. “We hope that the project will not only be a simple place to live, but also become a modern and convenient living space, helping workers feel attached and secure in developing their careers in Ha Nam,” the company representative shared.

In addition to its practical significance in terms of social security, the social housing project in the Dong Van I Industrial Park expansion is also part of the plan to realize the sustainable urban-industrial development plan that Ha Nam province is pursuing. The effective use of land funds, the synchronous combination of economic development and social infrastructure is the direction clearly identified by the province in its long-term development strategy.
